It
seems that these days everyone is obsessed about getting the facts. After
each debate there is a whole analysis to clearly mark which of the comments/
claims made by each party was truly a fact. On top of that all the News
Channels offer regular rounds of rather agitated discussions between experts
on the factual analysis of the campaign ads and party speeches. Given that
questions of fact raise questions of truth it is sometimes hard to tell which
piece of information has indeed some objective reality in it. Some of us
don't even rely to the News Channels to get our facts but resort to the
internet to cross check. So
respecting this new trend of seeking the facts I am hear to offer you some of
my own: --The
pub tour is On this Thursday and we will meet at an all time favorite at the
Field. --If
you show up (and i don't see why you would not want to) you will meet me and
a lot of your euro friends. --Its
real easy to get to the Field if you can find your way to Central Sq. See
you from 10pm and onwards: The
Field 20
Prospect Street, Cambridge, MA after 10:00pm Thursday, October 9, 2008 REVIEW: Central Square hosts its own Irish immigrant, The
Field, a quaint Irish pub that one would expect to see in Boston or Brighton,
but not in this quirky neighborhood. Cambridge is known for welcoming
diversity, though, and this holds true for its appreciation of the simple,
authentic Irish bar, filling it with festive patrons most nights of the week.
Inside, bold street signs point you to Cork and Kinsale while true Irish
kitsch takes you back to the old country. This is a place to drink and relax
with your buddies and the native Irish bartenders, or perhaps play a bit of
pool or darts in the small side room. You can find imported beer on draft
here, like Bellhaven, Newcastle and Carlsberg. DIRECTIONS: THE FIELD is in Central Square on 20 Prospect Street. They are easy to find… Located in the
heart of the Central Square, Cambridge.
Just about a few dozen steps down Prospect Street from the Central
Square Red Line T stop. Once
inside, look for PubMeisterin
Dimitra and the friendly Eurocrowd.
